If you’ve ever wondered just how quickly the world is changing (technologically), watch this great video.

Below is a video of the worlds longest zip wire in action. First you get to see a recording of someone else using the zip line but, afterwards, it shows a first-person view of the camera-man (or woman) going down the wire!
It looks like such fun, maybe scary at first but it would be so worth it. If I ever go to South Africa, I’m going to have to find it and see what it’s like for myself.
This video baffles me: What the hell made that woman decide that standing on a small table and singing was going to acheive? I mean I’d understand if it she was drunk and it was kareoke night…
This is much funnier than it sounds. Trust me!
This is a video from March of this year on “CBS - Cutting edge” about the possibility of rapid cell regeneration and, in theory, growing of organs for transplants using (stem) cells from your body. It’s amazing stuff. Definitely worth a watch.
This may be a massive medical breakthrough, but it could be decades before this stuff works properly and the researchers may be exaggerating some results since there’s so much pressure on them to produce results.
This video had me cracking up for ages! Basically I think it’s from an audition to be in that old XBox advert (which was banned in some places) where a load of people have a shoot-out in a train station (I think) with fake guns (made using their hands).
That old woman is completely crazy! For most of it she looks almost as if she’s mad/insane, especially when she carries on after the Spanish director says “corte!” (”cut!”).
I just came across this video of a guy in Khulna, Bangladesh putting 20 bricks on his head by himself and then walking off with them still on his head! I wish I could do that! ![]()
So this advert for the new Nokia N96 shows Bruce Lee apparently playing table tennis expertly with nunchucks (nunchucku?). I’m not yet sure if it’s real but knowing how skillful Bruce Lee was, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was real.
I’m shocked! This amazingly greedy dumbass turned down $603,000 when he had a 50% chance of winning $1 million and a 50% chance of winning $1. Watch the video to see what happens to him
Uphaa has a great post about 12 old wives’ tales that simply aren’t true (despite a lot of people believing them). Here’s my take on it:
1) Chewing gum and bubble gum take seven years to digest (False)
I never really understood how anyone could believe this myth. I mean if you think about it for a minute - where would it stay? Why would it stay for seven years and not metal (which I assume is harder to digest) or glue (which is stickier)?
So don’t worry - if you swallow gum it’ll probably be gone by tomorrow (providing you go to the loo).
2) The only man-made structure that you can see from space is the Great Wall of China (False)
If by space you mean “low-Earth orbit”, then yes, you can see the Great Wall of China - but you can see lots of other things too - the Giza Pyramids for example. If you mean the moon, you can’t see the Great Wall from there - sorry.
3) If you drop a penny from the Empire State Building, it could hit and kill someone on the street below (False)
A penny’s maximum/terminal velocity isn’t particularly high, so even if it was thrown off somewhere twice as high as the Empire State Building it would only do enough damage to hurt someone and possibly give them a few stitches (if they’re unlucky). Also, apparently on the top part of the Empire State Building, there’s an updraft and so a penny thrown off would get blown on to one of the ledges below - not the street/a passer-by’s head. Watch the video below (in the full post) to see this all explained.
