Thanks to Gawker, I found this amazing time-lapse video of the Milky Way, filmed from an observatory in Hawaii. Aside from all the stars, it’s also quite cool how you can see the rotation of the Earth in this video! Enjoy:
So far it’s been a great Winter Olympics but I think it’s time we look back at another time, when there was even more “excitement”! Watch the video below for the unfortunate incident and the hilarious commentary:
It hurt so much that he couldn’t even finish the race. Poor guy! I didn’t realise slalom could be so dangerous!
There’s not much to say about this totally random video: A bikini-clad woman uses her (glute) strength to crush a watermelon between her thighs. I was hoping to add a pun based on this website (Le Melon) but can’t think of any good ones. Ideas?
I’ll add the best pun/puns from the comments in a few days.
Hey everyone, sorry for the slow posting recently! Posting will resume as normal very soon but, to make up for it, here is a couple of great examples of stop-motion animation:
1. Tony vs. Paul
This is a classic video from three and a half years ago! It may be old (by YouTube standards) but it’s definitely one to watch. In fact, it has an IMDB page!
2. Human Tetris
If you haven’t played Tetris before, then you’ve had a sheltered childhood. This video, using quite a few different people, shows what Tetris would be like if you used people to play as the blocks! The sound effects might get a bit annoying after a while though
The 44th Super Bowl, between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts at the Sun Life stadium in Miami, Florida was a great watch, with a final score of 31 to the Saints and 17 to the Colts. Watch the highlights below
Originally, the Saints were given odds of 20/1 to win!
Well the 2010 Super Bowl is now over with a thrilling 31-17 win from the New Orleans Saints! While we wait for highlights, I thought you might want to see some of the highlights from last year’s Super Bowl (number 43) between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. Enjoy!
I’m British and have never been a massive fan of American Football, but I must admit that I’m starting to enjoy (and understand) this sport more and more as time goes on. Bring on Super Bowl 45!
A greedy contestant on the US version of Deal or No Deal had things going very well for him – offers of over half a million dollars! Let’s see what happened when he turned them down…
Note: This was posted on the old LeMelon site but I think it’s good enough to be posted again!
In this great satirical video clip, a man takes apart the format of TV news stories by performing his own, generic one. Especially funny if you’re used to BBC news!
I’m sure almost everyone looks longingly back to the days of the Nintendo 64 and the classic GoldenEye game. It provided millions of people with days of entertainment and I’m glad to say I’m one of them. The main problem is that it’s old! Luckily there’s a project to bring GoldenEye back, and it’s named GoldenEye: Source. It’s just like the classic game, but with updated graphics, a few extras and, best of all (in MY opinion), it’s for PC… and totally free!
The 3.1 beta is available as a free download (as a beta for now) as a Half Life 2 mod and it looks great so far. Check out the latest gameplay video below:
What do you think? Personally I can’t wait!
Hopefully the finished product will be released this year but I’m not too sure. If it’s released before 2012 I’ll be pretty happy
